Métissages et espaces transculturels : reflet d’image et mises en scène chez les Indiens Tapeba
Résumé
The Indian tapeba, following the example
of most of the native groups of the
Brazilian Nordeste, invent and stage
their cultural heritage to fight against
the absence of an history erased by a
colonial context which did not authorize
the political recognition of their ethnic
peculiarity. The construction of a museum
and a cultural center in the heart of their
territory in suburb of the capital of Ceará
has for objective to compensate for this
lack of anteriority by trying to testify of
an alive memory susceptible to feign an
historic continuity by the transmission
which she supposes. The globalization,
the world tourism and the international
distributions of the image become then
precious instruments to lend a visibility to
the group tapeba, so by going beyond the
borders of Brazil and by bringing to the
invention of their everyday life a transcultural
dimension.
Les Indiens Tapeba, à l’instar de la
plupart des groupes indigènes du
Nordeste brésilien, inventent et mettent
en scène leur patrimoine culturel pour
lutter contre l’absence d’une histoire
effacée par un contexte colonial qui n’a
pas autorisé la reconnaissance politique
de leur particularité ethnique. La
construction d’un musée et d’un centre
culturel au Coeur de leur territoire, en
périphérie de la capitale du Ceará, a pour
objectif de compenser ce manque d’antériorité
en cherchant à témoigner d’une
mémoire vivante susceptible de simuler
une continuité historique par la transmission
qu’elle suppose. La globalisation,
le tourisme mondial et les diffusions
internationales de l’image deviennent
alors des instruments précieux pour
donner une visibilité au groupe tapeba, en
franchissant ainsi les frontières du Brésil
et en apportant à l’invention de leur quotidien
une dimension transculturelle.
Os índios tapeba, como a maioria dos
grupos indígenas do Nordeste brasileiro,
inventam e expoem seu patrimônio
cultural como forma de lutar contra
a ausência de uma história impedida
por um contexto colonial que negou o
reconhecimento político de sua particularidade
étnica. A construção de um museu
e de um centro cultural no seio do território
tapeba, na periferia da capital do
Ceará, tem por objetivo compensar a falta
de uma anterioridade, querendo testemunhar
uma memória viva susceptível de
simular uma continuidade histórica pela
transmissão que ela supõe. A globalização,
o turismo mundial e as difusões
mediáticas internacionais se tornam
instrumentos eficazes para dar uma
visibilidade ao grupo tapeba, atravessando
assim as fronteiras do Brasil e
trazendo à invenção do seu cotidiano uma
dimensão transcultural.
