Ingénierie sémiotique et modélisation diagrammatique : au-delà du modèle de Turing

Abstract : This article first shows how the spatial and temporal modelling of the objects of experience in general leads to the idea of graphic device. In a second part, we show how this historical and genetic declension of the concept of device leads to the current scientific model of what any device is: the Turing model, otherwise known under the technical name of Turing machine. Once the limits of the Turing model have been identified, we expose in a third and final part the reasons that allow us to introduce the notion of diagrammatic device, which is, according to us, the principle of a new type of modelling: diagrammatic modelling.
