Linguistic Diversity and its Sources - DiLiS

The research axis Linguistic Diversity and its Sources (DiLiS), which is coordinated by Maïa Ponsonnet, resulted from the merger, in 2020, of two previous axes : “Description, Fieldwork, Typology” (DTT) and “History and Ecology of Language and Languages” (HELAN2). As the name of the team indicates, our activities articulate research questions related to linguistic diversity from one end to the other around a "scientific production chain" that links:

- Fieldwork and linguistic documentation

- Sociolinguistics of minority languages

- Language description

- Typology of world languages

- Evolution of languages

- Origins and consequences of linguistic diversity
